Feb 27 -March 2

  • spelling -Unit 26/dividing words into syllables (vccv and vcv)
  • reading - The Mysterious Benedict Society/inferences,syllables, and quotations)
  • math - We plan to complete chapter 15 and test .
  • Bible- Memory due Monday, March 5th - Ex.20:1-11
  • history- We will complete the five capitals and test on them Friday.
  • science- We will be studying six natural disasters.
  • language- We will be writing conversations. (using quotation marks correctly)

  • reading- The Mysterious Benedict Society and skills/inferences and dividing words into syllables
  • math-pp.288 and 289 LOTS OF PRACTICE!!!!
  • Bible- Ex. 19 and 20:1-17
  • history- Antebellum Days in Alabama
  • science-We will be beginning a unit about natural disasters.
  • language-pp. 184 and 185. Practice writing conversation.
  • We had a great Valentine's Party. Thank you for helping your child make Valentines.

  • spelling-Unit 23/test Thursday. We will be working on dividing words into syllables in reading and in spelling over the next few weeks.

  • reading- The City of Ember(chapters 11-20) skills:prefixes/suffixes, quotations, figurative language
  • math- pp. 274-277, chapter review, and chapter test(planned for Thursday)
  • Bible- Exodus 12:37-40, 13, and 14 Bible Guide pp.65-67
  • history- We will be typing and sharing stories the children have written about the Creek War. Book-pp.144-149
  • language- chapter review and chapter test (planned for Tuesday) Book pp.166-173
  • science- pp.626-628 (Daily Grade planned for Friday) Study notes about electricity and magnetism each night.
