August 22-26
- reading- We will be reading The Boys Start the War together. Our skill lessons will still focus on sequence and cause/effect. Our fourth graders will be required to read at least three books and test on them each nine weeks. (AR) The three grades will be averaged as one daily grade.
- spelling-Unit 2
- math- We will be working on standard, word, and expanded forms of numbers.
- history- We will finish the five regions of Alabama. We will also have a daily grade next week. Your child will need to study our outline.
- science-We will continue our study of the classification system. Your child has note cards to study.
- language-We will be working on the four kinds of sentences. We will have a daily grade next week.
- Bible- Lesson 1 in our Bible Guide

SUCH A PRECIOUS CLASS! I really enjoyed your children and our first few days together.
Pioneer Days will be the first week after Christmas Vacation. We all wear pioneer "period outfits" during that week. It would probably be a good idea to plan ahead, especially for the girls.
